Code 4 lead flashing soakers

Code 4 lead flashing is often the first choice for soakers as it’s the maximum allowed thickness that soakers can be. Failure to adhere to this, and using a thicker lead code, can mean that tiles or slates don’t lay properly due to the materials beneath them. All soakers must be supported properly to serve their function.

Code 4 lead flashing

As previously mentioned Code 4 lead can be used for many roofing applications, with the 1.80mm thick Code 4 lead being the minimum required thickness for all flashings. Including window flashings, apron and cover flashings, chimney flashings, step flashings and more, the list of what Code 4 lead is used for goes on to cover vertical cladding as well.
