Fakro Flat Roof Windows Combine Style and Energy Efficiency

fakro-promoFakro’s new range of flat roof windows takes an entirely fresh design approach. Models are available in traditional roof window profile as well as with clear or opaque polycarbonate domes. All have a white internal surface, an inner laminated pane to class P2A and a glazing area up to 16% larger than other manufacturers’ windows of the same size. Multi-chamber PVC frames filled with polystyrene insulation provide excellent thermal performance, the DEF’s quadruple-glazed U8 glazing unit giving an installed window U-value of 0.78 W/m2K. The domed DEC is even better at 0.55W/m2K.

In addition to electrically and manually operated windows, non-opening models are available, the electrically operated DEF U8 also having a built-in rain sensor. Suitable for passive house designs, windows can be installed in roofs of 0-15° and mounted within an upstand to provide additional pitch and height for green roofs. For renovation projects, non-standard sizes can also be made to match old skylights.
