Description

Rainproof in two hours and fully cured in four, Acrypol Tech Seal PU creates a durable, strong and reliable waterproof membrane. It is suited to flat roof overlays and traditional roof build-ups, but no primer is necessary for bitumen or asphalt roofs. Single-ply PVC and metal roofs require Acrypol TS PU Primer, dry concrete requires Acrypol Porosity Sealer Flex primer, and damp surfaces, such as timber and concrete, require Acrypol TS Humidity Primer.

This product includes a 20-year guarantee if installed on flat roofs, balconies, gutters and green roofs. It is also suitable for podium decks, roofs, terraces and more.

Application

Before application, ensure your substrate is clean, dry and free of loose materials, dirt, grease and more. Primers and Base Coats should not be applied to wet surfaces. Tape over and fill joints and cracks with PU Sealant. Where primer is necessary, follow the provided instructions to apply, then leave it to dry.
A Base Coat of 1 kg per m² should be applied to all upstands and roof outlets/details. While wet, roll in the FG Mesh reinforcement until saturated. Repeat the process to all flat areas and roll in the FG Mesh reinforcement until saturated. Leave to dry - this should take up to four to five hours but relies on temperature and humidity. When dry, check if the FG Mesh is sticking up/wicking and sand/abrade the fibres until flat. Finally, apply the Dark Grey Top Coat of 1 kg per m² over all the upstands, roof outlets, and details and then over the flat roof area.
