Description

Suitable for refurbishment applications, the Manthorpe Felt Lap Vent is designed to increase the amount of ventilation in existing roof spaces. Though usually fitted retrospectively to properties with additional loft insulation installed, the felt lap vent will help combat the problem of condensation build-up in any roof space with a lapped felt/membrane construction.

Following installation, each unit provides 3,000mm² per metre of free airflow into the batten void. This helps prevent the risk of condensation built up caused by the additional insulation.

Features & Benefits: Manthorpe Felt Lap Vent - White

  • Easy to fit using tapered lead in to help slot the product between felt laps
  • Three felt clips help secure the product in place (even when the edge of the felt is degraded)
  • Suitable for fitting at joist centres ranging from 400mm to 600mm
  • 3,000mm²/m free airflow helps prevent the risk of condensation

Please note:

  • Insulation must be used in conjunction with the vent as it will not meet the requirement for roof ventilation solely on its own and only provide airflow through the felt laps.
  • Other measures may need to be in place to ensure adequate ventilation is provided for the roof space.

When inserted in between felt in the attic roof, will this product not create a slight opening between each roof tile from the outside? And therefore allowing insects to enter the attic from the roof tile gaps?

technically no, as it doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the felt

These are 275mm wide so you should have room to fit them.
