Fixed to BS 5534, the recommended batten size is 38mm x 25mm for rafters/supports not exceeding 450mm centres and 50mm x 25mm for rafters/supports not exceeding 600mm centres. These Mendip concrete tiles are suitable for a minimum roof headlap of 100mm and a maximum roof gauge of 320mm.
