As the most popular selling anti-downdraught cowl in the UK, this Colt Top all-purpose cowl is suitable for use with all fuels, withstanding flue temperatures up to 200°C and for solid fuels, removing the birdguard is recommended. It is ideal for preventing downdraught and stopping birds and rain from entering your chimney.
This Colt Top has a circular shape which efficiently creates lift in whichever direction the wind is blowing and eliminates downdraught. The rain drains help to effectively deflect water outside the chimney pot and inhibit rainwater entry. Fully assembled, this anti-downdraught cowl does not require any special tools during installation and can fit up to 250mm internal to 300mm external diameters. If your pot surpasses these measurements, you might want to consider using the Oversize Adapter Flat.
Manufactured from aluminium and coated with a powder in a Buff colour, this static anti-downdraught cowl includes stainless steel strap fixings, a birdguard, and standard hook bolts. The Buff colour coordinates well with specific chimney pots and buildings with a limestone/sandstone appearance.
