The opal tinted properties of this Em-Dome rooflight enhance security due to the translucent surface while making optimum use of natural light, transmitting high levels of light, consistently diffused into the area below. The double glazed, thermoformed polycarbonate dome has a minimum thickness of 3mm glazing while the curb is manufactured from white uPVC.
The polycarbonate material of this Em-Dome rooflight is virtually indestructible with an impact strength up to 250 times more resilient than glass. With high security screwbolts that are supplied factory fitted as standard, these patented and exclusive fixings deliver outstanding resistance to tampering or forced entry and ensure that once fitted, the Em-Dome rooflight cannot be removed with the use of common tools. Within the screwbolt's body, fixing screws or bolts are sleeved to prevent pressure from exerting onto the rooflight glazing as the fixing is tightened. This effectively eliminates the risk of stress fractures triggered by over-tightening.
