This 800mm x 1400mm rectangular Em-Dome rooflight, with a double glazed opal tinted dome thermoformed from polycarbonate sheet and a curb made from white uPVC, has been created to make optimum use of natural light. The translucent finish enhances security while consistently distributing high levels of light transmission into the room below.
With a minimum of 3mm thick glazing, this polycarbonate dome has up to 250 times stronger impact resistance than glass. The exclusive to Em-Dome, patented high security screwbolts are supplied factory fitted as standard to ensure that once fixed, the installation cannot be detached by means of basic tools with remarkable resistance to forced entry or tampering. Avoiding an exertion of pressure on the rooflight glazing as the fixing is tightened, the bolt or screw is sleeved within the screwbolt's body. This basically eliminates the potential for stress fractures impacted by over-tightening.
