Constructed from resilient cement-based materials reinforced with glass fibres, this Three-Hole Crested Angle Ridge with a 115° Angle boasts exceptional strength and durability. Comprising a unique blend of Portland cement, sand, glass fibres and pigment, it is further coated with water-based paint in Terracotta for a uniform finish.
For installation of wet fix ridges, begin by ensuring the top course of special short slates is in place to achieve the desired ridge cover. If you're using socketed ridge tiles, position them to overlap away from prevailing weather conditions. Create a sturdy base by edge bedding all ridges in a mortar and solidly bed all ridge tile joints. The recommended mortar mix consists of three parts sharp sand and one part Portland cement. For an enhanced bond, use a proprietary bonding agent mixed with cement beneath the ridge.
For added support, consider using additional mechanical fixings as required, following BS 5534 Part 1 (2003) and the latest codes of practice. Solid bed the end of the end ridge tile for a secure fit.
