With a mineral glass coating on the underside and a polypropylene fleece, finished with a glass fibre/bitumen working facing on top, these Thermazone Torch-On boards are ideal for use with Icopal torch-applied partially bonded bituminous-based roofing installations including Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproofing applications.
Suitable for use over all types of structural decks, these Thermazone Torch-On boards must always be laid over a vapour control layer. When used with the Total Torch/Profiles systems, these insulation boards are bonded by torch application which involves heating the stripes on the upper surface of the vapour control layer to activate the bitumen stripes and disperse the thermofusible film. Positioned onto the vapour control layer and pressed into the surface, these boards ensure a great, consistent bond. They must be laid staggered (broken joints) and close-butted.
These Icopal boards are resistant to mould and microbial growth as well as most adhesives, greases and oils excluding those containing esters and ketones.
