Suitable for use with bituminous-based torch-applied partially bonded roofing applications including Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing systems, these Thermazone Torch-On boards feature a polypropylene fleece with a glass fibre/bitumen working coating and a mineral glass layer on the lower side.
These Thermazone Torch-On insulation boards are perfect for use over all kinds of structural decks and must always be situated over a vapour control layer. They are resistant to most oils, adhesives and greases, except those including ketones and esters, as well as impervious to mould and microbial growth.
When using these insulation boards with the Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing installations, they are attached by torch application which entails heating the stripes on the upper surface of the vapour control layer to break up the thermofusible film and trigger the bitumen stripes. They ensure a secure and uniform bond when laid onto the vapour control layer and pushed into the surface. These insulation boards must be positioned staggered (broken joints) and close-butted.
