Manufactured from polypropylene fleece and coated with a bitumen/glass fibre working surface and a mineral glass layer to the lower side, these Thermazone Torch-On boards are ideal for use with bituminous-based partially bonded torch-applied roofing systems including Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproof applications.
Suitable for use over all kinds of structural decks, these Thermazone torch-on insulation boards should always be positioned over a vapour control layer. They are resistant to mould and microbial growth as well as most oils, greases and adhesives excluding those containing ketones and esters.
When utilised with the Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing systems, these insulation boards are attached by torch application which includes heating the stripes on the upper surface of the vapour control layer to diffuse the thermofusible film and activate the bitumen stripes. Placed onto the vapour control layer and pressed into the surface, these boards ensure a uniform and secure bond. They should be laid staggered (broken joints) and close-butted.
