The SUNCATCHER® natural daylight and ventilation system combines the principles of the SUNPIPE® natural daylight and WINDCATCHER® natural ventilation systems in one unit. The system has been used extensively in education facilities and commercial office. The design of the system lends itself particularly well to conference and meeting rooms.
The system expels stale air from the room as a result of the passive stack ventilation principle, but also has the added advantages of bringing in a supply of fresh air on the windward side of the system as well as providing natural daylight.
The ceiling ventilator is available in two options. For commercial applications, an eggcrate ceiling diffuser is recommended. The volume control dampers are operated by a simple lever arrangement. For domestic applications, a ‘hit and miss’ diffuser is provided and is fully adjustable from closed to fully open and is also available with a brass or chrome finish, where required.
