With its clean lines and rich, long lasting colour, this slate captures the unmistakable style and appeal of Britain's dominant roofing material.
Redland's new Slate 10 range retains and enhances the practicality and visual appeal of the originals, so it offers class-leading performance as well as aesthetics. Lower minimum pitches, unique single nail fixing and no requirement for eaves or top slates are just some of the ways in which we've enhanced their value.
With their clean lines and rich, long lasting colour, Landmark 10 Slates capture the unmistakable style and appeal of Britain's dominant roofing material. Offered in a classic Brecon Grey colour, each slate incorporates subtle colour differences to produce a laid roof with the understated colour variations typical of natural slate. Landmark 10 Slate is complemented by a full matching range of fittings and accessories.
Landmark Slate 10s are made using Redland's revolutionary manufacturing process, ColourFusion. This involves fusing a very dense layer of highly pigmented amalgam with the top of the slate, so that it actually becomes part of the slate body, rather than a thin, easily eroded layer. This is then cured with a clear protective layer of polymer to give the surface finish and colour maximum longevity. The smooth hard surface also controls the growth of algae.
The ColourFusion process has undergone years of research and testing in the Group's state-of-the-art laboratories and exceeds their exacting standards. Although it is hard to quantify the expected lifetime of any finish since it varies greatly with location, it has been confirmed that tiles created using this new process will retain their intended appearance for much longer in the same environment than the equivalent tile finish produced without the ColourFusion process. A Landmark Slate 10 roof retains its appeal for longer meaning that the benefits of machine-made performance, control and cost have never looked so attractive for so long.
