Description
Thanks to being slightly denser than Comfort rolls, the SheepWool Optimal Roll offers both vertical and horizontal application, able to hold their shape and thickness throughout their lives. This gives you a variety of applications in which to use these rolls, including sloping ceilings, ceilings, walls and floors.
Made from 100% natural sheep wool, these insulation rolls also have fire safety advantages such as being non-combustible thanks to their high moisture content and will self-extinguish on ignition. You can install the insulation on existing glass wool and mineral wool as it is entirely breathable, helping to eliminate any harmful fibres found in mineral and glass wool.

SheepWool's Optimal roll also comes with patented coating Ionic Protect, a biocide-free coating that guards against moths as the fibres deter them from eating the insulation. This has been CUAP tested and is the only sheep wool insulation that benefits from this.

Due to it's high moisture content, wool does not support combustion and will extinguish itself when the source of flame is removed. In the event of a fire, wool is a much safer material than man-made products as it does not release poisonous fumes.
Ionic protect

The procedure treats the wool fibre in a plasma-ionic way aiming to protect it against all the negative influences of the building environment. Ionic Protect sustains and protects sheepwool insulation, acting as a natural moth repellent and prevents the fibres from being eaten. The performance of Ionic Protect has been checked and confirmed by an independent laboratory (CUAP test).
