The Fakro FTP-V/C R1 conservation window is designed for old, historic and traditional-looking buildings.
It's characteristic feature is the sash bar down the middle of the window, and black (similar to RAL 9005) metal covering on the window and flashing which is designed to suit traditional buildings.
Using the Fakro sash bar, the window retains the unique historic character of the building from the outside while creating a comfortable and modern interior.
R1 Noise Reduction Glazing
Fakro's FTP-V/C R1 significantly reduces noise penetration. It is constructed from toughened glass on the outside, and specially laminated glass inside. The laminated glass has a layer of soft, sound proofing epoxy resin, and a low emission coating. The glazing cavity is filled with gas, which also reduces noise penetration.
Sound-proof glazing is made to an exceptionally high specification (Rw = 40dB).
Centre pivot windows
FT centre pivot windows are the most popular type of Fakro roof window. The well-designed centre pivot allows the sash to be opened in a range of positions, thus increasing the amount of fresh air which can be drawn into the room. The sash can also be rotated through 180° and locked, allowing easy and safe cleaning of the outer pane to be carried out. Such pivot windows are operated using a two-part hinge.
As the air inlet is positioned at the top of the frame, Fakro windows have a 6% greater surface area when compared with similar sized windows made by other manufacturers. As a result they maximise the amount of natural light in a room.
