VELUX duo blackout blinds combine a pleated blind and blackout blind in one to give you more control over how much light you let into your room. You can diffuse daylight with the pleated blind whenever you wish before utilising the blackout blind during naps or at night to completely block out the light. The pleated blind itself is white in colour and can be found in most sizes in a range of colour combinations so you can opt for whichever blackout blind colour you like.
This VELUX duo blackout blind is manually operated via two control bars. Once the VELUX blind is attached to the top of the window you can use these control bars on the pleated and blackout blind to place the blinds wherever you need them. Side rails offer both a lightproof seal and a smooth operation for your blind, increasing its life span and durability.
VELUX blackout blinds are perfect to get a better night’s sleep and to improve the quality of naps for young children throughout the day. With the pleated blind in the mix too, you can set just how much light you’d like, increasing your comfort.
This VELUX blind is manufactured from three distinct layers, all coming together to create a high-performance blind. A polyester layer and an aluminium back coating sandwich a light-tight middle layer to ensure total blackout. The aluminium coating contributes to blocking light and it’s able to reduce heat gain in summer and heat loss in the winter. The OEKO-TEX fabric of the rest of the blind offers long-term use and durability with its dirt-resistant qualities meaning there’s no need to worry about regular hoovering or steam cleaning.
