An economy version of Aluminium Paint – a bright aluminium, traditional, solar reflective coating suitable for application to bituminous roofing substrates.
For the protection against sun and weathering of roofs and walls, particularly where bituminous, exposed steel and corrugated iron surfaces are encountered.
Clean with white spirit.
Coverage
Approximately 5 - 10m² per litre per coat, depending upon the surface.
Application
By brush or airless spray.
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and debris. Freshly applied bitumen coatings should be allowed to weather for at least 3-5 days before the application of Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade). For use on Roofing Felt we recommend you prime the surface prior to applying the first coat of Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade).
AGHATE AND STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE.
Note: The appearance of a silver film on the surface of the paint after a short period of stirring does not signify that the paint is thoroughly uniform. It is advisable to stir for several minutes to ensure complete
dispersion. Preference should be given to mechanical stirring. Two coats should be applied, the first being allowed to dry before application of the second. To avoid bronzing it is important that Aluminium Paint is
not applied too thickly. Do not brush excessively as this can cause softening of the substrate. The presence of moisture on the surface of rain falling before the Aluminium Paint (Contractors Grade) has dried can also cause bronzing. Do not use in temperatures less than +5°C.
Storage conditions
Containers must be kept sealed and stored under cover away from sources of heat and ignition. Do not allow water to contaminate the Aluminium Paint.

12 months under good storage conditions in original unopened containers.
