Applicable for use with partially bonded bituminous-based torch-applied installations including Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing applications, these Thermazone Torch-On Boards integrate a polypropylene fleece with a glass fibre/bitumen working finish and a mineral glass coating on the underside.
These Thermazone insulation boards must always be positioned over a vapour control layer and are perfect for use over all types of structural decks. They are resistant to most greases, oils and adhesives excluding those containing esters and ketones.
When installing these insulation boards with the Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing systems, they are fixed by torch application which involves heating of the stripes on the vapour control layer's upper surface to disperse the thermofusible film and activate the bitumen stripes. To ensure a consistent, secure bond, these boards should be situated onto the vapour control layer and pushed into the surface. They must be placed staggered (broken joints) and close-butted.
