Bird netting is one of the most popular methods used for protecting structures against all common species of urban bird pest. Its success is due principally to the fact that if it is installed correctly then it is virtually the only system that can be used with confidence in places subject to high levels of gull infestation and where birds are roosting at night.
All our nets are manufactured from knotted polyethylene which does not absorb water, so does not stretch and is chemically inert. All of our nets are UV light stabilised for use in direct sunlight all over the globe. as an indication, it is likely to resist UV degradation in average UK sunlight conditions in excess of 10-years.
Our bird nets are constructed from monofilaments designed specifically for bird net systems. They are extruded to 0.3mm thick. They are then twisted into a twine which is 12/9 strands thick.
We can manufacture nets to your specific dimensions, we manufacture to the nearest whole metre, i.e. if you require a 22.5m X 31.2m net then we can produce a 23m X 32m net which you can trim on site using netting shears (NT125) - Please note - the minimum width is 2m.
Our Cut-To-Size netting production service is especially popular for nets with one or both dimensions beyond our Stock-Size limit of 20m, or for a large quantity of non stock size nets sub 20m, in order to save on wastage
Cut-To-Size Nets take 4 working days from the date of ordering to produce and dispatch. We will ship your made-to-measure netting order on the 4th working day. There is a 3pm cut-off time each day for this service, Cut-To-Size nets ordered after 3pm each day will be rolled over to the next working day’s production schedule.
Despite being of rugged, heavy-duty polyethylene construction, our nets can easily be cut down to size once on site using either our affordable netting shears (NT125) or a high quality pair of sharp scissors.
Please show in the 'Special Instructions' section of the shopping basket the dimensions of the cut sheet(s) required.
