Description
Optimal sheep wool insulation rolls by SheepWool Insulation are slightly denser than Comfort rolls so they can be used in vertical applications as well as horizontal, holding their shape and thickness throughout their life. This means that their application includes floors, ceilings, walls and sloping ceilings. Renewable, sustainable and safe, Optimal sheep wool insulation rolls don’t need any special PPE equipment or safety gear to handle.
The 100% sheep wool insulation manufacture of this product also gives fire safety advantages. Optimal sheep wool insulation is non-combustible thanks to its high moisture content – Optimal will self-extinguish upon ignition. Optimal can be installed on top of existing glass wool and mineral wool insulation as it’s fully breathable, this will help to quash any non-safe fibres coming from the glass and mineral wool.
The only addition to this 100% natural sheep wool insulation product is the patented coating Ionic Protect. This biocide-free coating offers protection from moths, deterring the fibres from being eaten by them and affecting the performance of your insulation. CUAP tested, this is the only sheep wool insulation product with this coating.
This pack contains 3 rolls of 6m x 380mm at 75mm thickness for 400mm joist centres. This will cover 6.84m2, with thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/mK.
