VELUX 10-Year Guarantee

The following products are supported by a 10-year guarantee:

VELUX Windows & Installation

  • VELUX pitched roof windows
  • VELUX glazing units
  • VELUX flashings
  • VELUX linings
  • VELUX frame insulation collars
  • VELUX underfelt collars
  • VELUX vapour barrier collars
  • VELUX frame extensions
  • VELUX support rafters
  • VELUX flat roof windows
  • VELUX roof domes
  • VELUX sun tunnels (including glazing units)
  • VELUX modular rooflights (including MonoLights, LinearLights, and CircularLights, plus glazing units, excluding upstand)
  • VELUX vitral skyvision modules (including glazing units)
  • VELUX glazing panels (including glazing units)
  • VELUX flashings for VELUX glazing panels
  • VELUX vitral panels (including glazing units)
  • VELUX vitral flashings for vitral panels
  • VELUX vario rooflights (including glazing units)
  • VELUX modular skylights* (including glazing units)
  • VELUX flashings for VELUX modular skylights
  • Installation products for VELUX modular skylights which include: VELUX vapour barrier connection strip, vapour barrier adhesive for swimming pools, and inner ridge cover for swimming pools

* VELUX modular skylights are not protected by the 10-year guarantee if they are installed in swimming pools, areas with high humidity or chloride, or areas without sufficient ventilation or humidity control unless one of the following applicable products is correctly installed:

  • VELUX vapour barrier connection strip
  • VELUX vapour barrier adhesive for swimming pools and for ridgelight
  • VELUX inner ridge cover for swimming pools

VELUX 5-Year Guarantee

The following products are covered by VELUX’s 5-year guarantee:

  • VELUX electric and solar-powered blinds
  • VELUX shutters, electric, and solar-powered awning blinds
  • VELUX motors for VELUX shutters and electric or solar-powered VELUX awning blinds
  • VELUX replacement glazing units
  • VELUX motors (electric or solar-powered), solar cells, batteries, and other electrical
    components pre-installed as an integrated part of the electric window*

*If the End-User registers the purchase on the VELUX website within six months from the End-User’s date of purchase, an additional 5-year guarantee will be granted.

VELUX 3-Year Guarantee

The following products have a 3-year guarantee:

  • VELUX flat roof window motors (electric or solar-powered & including motors preinstalled by VELUX in flat-roof windows and VELUX roof domes) and for operating
    VELUX decoration and sunscreening products (not including VELUX shutter and awning blind motors)
  • Products such as wall switches, gateways for app control, sensors, interfaces,
    retrofit motors, remote controls, & power supply units which are not pre-installed as an
    integrated part of the electric window
  • VELUX smoke ventilation motors and associated electrical products used for smoke ventilation
    (including electrical VELUX components for smoke ventilation pre-installed by VELUX in
    VELUX roof windows, VELUX flat-roof windows, and VELUX roof domes)
  • VELUX manual blinds and VELUX insect screens (excluding VELUX basic blackout blind DBL, which has a guarantee of 2 years)
  • VELUX manual awning blinds
  • VELUX products for manual operation (such as rods)
  • VELUX flat roof window motors (electric or solar-powered & including motors preinstalled by VELUX in VELUX flat roof windows and VELUX roof domes), and for operating
    VELUX decoration and sunscreening products (excluding motors for operating VELUX
    shutters and VELUX awning blinds)
  • VELUX smoke ventilation motors and associated electrical products used for smoke ventilation
    (including electrical VELUX components for smoke ventilation pre-installed by VELUX in
    VELUX pitched roof windows, VELUX flat-roof windows, and VELUX roof domes)
  • VELUX sunscreening products for VELUX Modular Skylights
  • VELUX window control and sunscreening motors for VELUX modular skylights
    (including motors pre-installed by VELUX in VELUX modular skylights)
  • VELUX products for electrical operation, including electrical components pre-installed by
    VELUX in VELUX modular skylights
  • VELUX sunscreening products for VELUX modular rooflights
  • VELUX window control and sunscreening motors for VELUX modular rooflights
    (including motors pre-installed by VELUX in VELUX modular rooflights)
  • VELUX products for electrical operation, including electrical components pre-installed by
    VELUX in VELUX modular rooflights.
  • VELUX vitral products for electrical operation, including pre-installed motors and electrical
    components for vitral skyvision.
  • VELUX window control motors, including motors installed in/at VELUX glazing panels.
  • VELUX products for electrical operation, including electrical components delivered by
    VELUX for VELUX glazing panels
  • VELUX products for electrical operation, including pre-installed motors and electrical
    components for vario rooflights

VELUX 2-Year Guarantee

  • Spare parts supplied by VELUX – If a defect in a spare part product is brought to VELUX’s attention during the guarantee period
    which shall commence from the date it is sold or otherwise supplied to the First End User, VELUX will, at its option: 1) repair the VELUX product without charge for material or
    labour or 2) provide a replacement VELUX product delivered free of charge to the original
    point of purchase or to the End-User
