Providing excellent acoustic and thermal performance, this Earthwool Flexible Slab from Knauf is a multiple-purpose solution for various constructions, including suspended timber floors, timber frame walls and metal and timber stud partitions.
This Earthwool slab is a non-combustible, flexible, rock mineral wool insulation designed for friction-fitted installations between rafters, joists and studs. It is no environmental threat, featuring zero Global Warming Potential and zero Ozone Depletion Potential. Non-hygroscopic, rot proof and odourless, this Earthwool Flexible Slab does not sustain vermin and will not support the growth of bacteria, mould or fungi. With a water vapour resistivity of 5.00 MNs/gm, it delivers minimal resistance to the passage of water vapour.
Lightweight, easy to handle and simple to install, this Earthwool Flexible Slab is effortless to cut to size where needed. It is supplied in polythene packs designed for short-term protection only. As one of Knauf Insulation's glass and rock mineral wool products, it benefits from being made using ECOSE Technology. This is a revolutionary, formaldehyde-free, bio-based binder technology established on rapidly renewable materials instead of petro-based chemicals.
