This square 750mm x 750mm Em-Dome rooflight includes a white uPVC curb and a double-glazed dome made from thermoformed polycarbonate sheet with a clear surface and a minimum of 3mm thick glazing. It has been manufactured to make optimal use of natural daylight. The polycarbonate structure in comparison to glass is virtually unbreakable with up to 250 times greater impact strength.
Once mounted, this Em-Dome rooflight cannot be demounted by means of common tools, due to the high-security screwbolts that are unique and patented to Em-Dome and supplied factory-fitted as standard. They offer a high level of resistance to tampering or forced entry. Within the screwbolt's body, the sleeved fixing helps to inhibit pressure from being exerted onto the rooflight glazing as it is attached. This ensures that the risk of over-tightening, which causes stress fractures, is almost eliminated.
