Febflor Ultralay is an ultra high strength, heavy duty, rapid setting, abrasion resistant cement based levelling and resurfacing compound. Foot trafficable within 2 hours, can be tiled within 3 hours, and will even accept vehicular traffic. Ideal for use on concrete and screeding, existing unglazed ceramic tiles, brick, stone etc.
Application
Floors to be treated must be free from grease, dust and loose particles. Substrates must be porous. Always prepare floors by dampening with water then priming with Febond PVA diluted 1 part PVA to 3 parts water to give a sound, slightly damp surface. 20kg of Febflor ultralay will require 4 litres of water. Please do not use excessive water. Always add the powder to water. This should be carried out by stepwise addition whilst stirring until a free flowing creamy compound is produced. Pour the mixture out into the prepared floor and allow it to find its own level. Trowel down lightly to achieve an overall thickness not exceeding 10mm. For depths above 10mm (up to 25mm) Add 1 part of clean, dry sharp sand to 1 part Febflor Ultralay. The sand should be added after mixing powder with water. It is advisable to reduce the amount of mixing water before adding sand, then top up with water to achieve the correct consistency. Note: the flow characteristics will be affected by addition of the sand. . Allow 3 days cure prior to subjecting to vehicular traffic at 20°C, longer at lower temperatures.
