FebMix Plus Mortar Plasticiser - 5 Litres
Please note the superior plasticising qualities of febmix plus will result in a significant reduction in water demands of any given mix.
Febmix plus is a liquid ultra stable synthetic air entraining mortar plasticiser designed to enhance the workability and freeze thaw resistance of brick and block laying mortars. It may be used to replace or supplement the use of lime, and is designed to maintain efficiency with variations in cement and aggregate sources. Conforms to BS EN 934-3 : 2009 specification for air entraining plasticising mortar admixtures.
Application
Febmix plus may be either pre-mixed with the water or added directly into the mix at the same time as the water.
Dosage : In all cases, add to mix or to guaging water at an addition rate of 125ml to 250ml per 50kg cement, depending on the degree of plasticising/entrainment required. Remember to reduce the required quantity of water accordingly. one litre of febmix plus added to a 200ltr drum of guaging water will be sufficient for guaging approximately 4 x 50kg cement for mortar or render mixes.
Compatibility : Febmix plus can be used with other admixtures provided these are added seperately to the mix. It can be used for all types of Portland cement, including sulphate resisting. It can also be used in lime/sand mortars as a further precaution against frost.
Storage
Store at moderate temperatures, Will freeze, but can be reconstituted by stirring after thawing. Stir before use.
Shelf life
Minimum of 2 years when stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
