Designed to enhance your plain tile roof, this Forticrete Plain Tile-and-a-Half is ideal for providing a visually appealing finish while minimising wastage and the need for excessive cutting. The tile-and-a-half tiles are strategically placed at the beginning and end of every alternate course, ensuring a seamless and pleasing aesthetic.
With a straightforward installation process, this Tile-and-a-Half can be fixed using three 38mm x 3.35mm aluminium nails. You can locate the nail holes approximately 35mm below the tile's head and around 40mm inward from the side edges for a secure attachment.
With a diverse range of colours available, the Forticrete Concrete Plain Tiles boast a through-coloured composition that ensures a high-quality appearance. They not only enhance the look of your roof but also improve air circulation between the tile and batten. Their low centre of mass and minimal step height effectively mitigate the impact of wind uplift, adding an extra layer of protection.
Suitable for use on roofs with pitches exceeding 35°, the Forticrete Concrete Plain Tiles offer versatility and durability. For roofing purposes, lay the Plain Tiles halfway across the width of the tiles below in broken bond courses, maintaining a headlap of no more than 65mm. If you're opting for vertical tiling, ensure a minimum headlap of 35mm for optimal performance. Forticrete has conveniently included two nail holes in each tile for an easy installation with aluminium nails. For optimal results, secure the tiles with a nail at least once every fifth course for roofing or every single course for vertical tiling.
