Part of the mortar-free, all-weather IDV system, this pack of two Hambleside Danelaw Universal Dry Verge Angled Ridge End Caps are available in a range of colours and facilitates maintenance-free weatherproofing of the roof verge. They feature integral closures for compatibility with most commonly available angled ridge tiles.
The IDV system enhances aesthetic appeal with a sculptured design while several discrete details work to provide performance, reducing the risk of water staining caused by rainwater run-off. The curved design continues the finished look with a tapered base edge that forms a visual straight-line effect, resulting in a clean finish and limiting water run-off. This directs rainwater to drip off instead of running down the gable end.
For high practicality and quick installation, the clip-on system is dry-fixed to save you time and effort without an undercloak or the issues caused by mortar use. The starter unit includes a cutout section for guttering and closes off the verge, in turn rejecting the risk of small animals finding a way to hide in the roof. Starter units and batten end clips provide improved fixing security without the need for additional pieces when finishing the end cap detail.
Thanks to the modern design, these ridge end caps suit both flat and profiled tiles. They have been UV stabilised to ensure they last the test of time, compatible with new build and refurbishment projects with any roof pitch. The secure single nail fixing ensures a reliable installation with batten end clips and due to the angular adjustment, different roof sprockets can be accounted for. The batten gauge within the dry verge system is compatible with anything, ranging from 260mm to 355mm.
