These Thermazone Torch-On boards are perfect for use with torch-applied partially bonded bituminous-based roofing applications including Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing systems. They consist of a polypropylene fleece with a glass fibre/bitumen working surface and a mineral glass coating on the lower side.
Suitable for use over all types of structural decks, these Thermazone insulation boards must always be situated over a vapour control layer. They are impervious to mould and microbial growth as well as resistant to most greases, oils and adhesives excluding those with ketones and esters.
When utilising these boards with the Icopal Total Torch and Profiles waterproofing installations, they are joined by torch application which requires heating of the stripes on the vapour control layer's upper surface to disperse the thermofusible film and stimulate the bitumen stripes. These boards provide a sturdy, consistent bond when positioned onto the vapour control layer and pushed into the surface. They must be close-butted and placed staggered (broken joints).
