In a pack of 96, these Thermazone torch-on fillets from Icopal are made from bitumen and glass fibre that is finished with polypropylene fleecing and mineral glass facing the undersides. It works fantastically in torch applied, partially bonded bitumen roof systems from Icopal, Icopal profiles, and waterproofing systems on various types of structural decks as long as it is installed over a vapour control layer.
With wonderful resistance to numerous greases, oils and adhesives (without ketones and esters), as well as being able to efficiently repel mould and growths, these Thermazone torch-on fillets exhibit commendable durability and strength. Installation is fuss-free and fast, and they include fantastic thermal performance.
When used with the Profiles/Total Torch systems, the insulation boards are bonded together by heating the stripes on the top surface of the vapour control layer with torch application. This disperses the thermofusible film and activates the bitumen stripes. The boards are then placed onto this layer and pressed into the surface to ensure a robust and uniform bond. The boards must be close butted while broken joints should be laid staggered.
