Constructed from lightweight high-grade steel, fortified with an Aluzinc coating, this Metrotile Shingle delivers outstanding strength and resilience. It is backed with an impressive 40-year weatherproof guarantee, proving confidence in its exceptional performance. With an overall size of 1335mm x 300mm and a .450mm steel gauge, it has a coverage capacity of 1255mm x 250mm, equating to 0.313m² or approximately 3.2 tiles per square metre. Each square metre will weigh only 6.1kg, with each individual tile weighing a metre 1.9kg.
You can fix these tiles using 25mm x 2.8mm coated nails, easily applied by hand or power tools. With four nails securing each tile, you can rest assured of a secure installation. To ensure optimal performance, install this Metrotile Shingle over battens with a requirement of 5 linear metres per square metre (plus wastage). With 450mm to 600mm rafter centres, you will require 25mm x 50mm battens, 50mm x 50mm battens for 900mm to 1200mm rafter centres and 50mm x 65mm battens for up to 1500mm rafter centres.
