Roofing Superstore’s range of double glazed flat glass manual rooflights combine a high level of build quality and functionality with sleek, modern and versatile design, making them suitable for both refurbishment projects and new builds.
The Roofing Superstore Double Glazed Flat Glass Manual Rooflight is operated via a winding spindle/rod which opens the rooflight by approximately 200mm. To ensure a wide variety of ceiling heights are accessible, the rods come in 3 different sizes: 1.5m, 2m and 3m. A more affordable option, in comparison to the electrically operated alternative, the manual flat glass rooflight is also an ideal solution for projects where a power supply to the unit is neither possible nor practical.
As well as introducing more natural light into your room, the rooflight can be opened to allow in fresh air, ensuring a comfortable temperate living environment wherever the unit is installed.
Each Roofing Superstore double glazed flat glass manual rooflight comes with an insulated 150mm high vertical uPVC upstand to suit a variety of roof opening sizes from 600mm x 600m up to 1000mm x 1000mm. The external frame colour of each unit is Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), making it suitable for a wide range of projects and installations.
When it comes to installing the Roofing Superstore Flat Glass Manual Rooflight, customers are advised to install at an angle of between 5°-15°.
The low-emissivity, argon filled double glazed unit is made up of a 6mm toughened outer layer and an 8.8mm laminated inner. Should the external toughened glass layer become damaged, the laminated inner layer acts a safety feature which will hold any damaged outer layer shards in place, preventing glass to fall through your rooflight and into your living space.
