Description

Manufactured in Germany, the SPAX WIROX 5.0MM T-STAR plus washer head screw is for use in timber construction & interior work.

The large SPAX washer head pulls two components together with great force & with a flush countersink.

Key design features of this screw are the SPAX 4CUT & Ground serrations. The fibre of the wood is pushed aside, effectively reducing splitting and reducing the scewing-in torque required. The SPAX 4CUT also removes the need to pre-drill, though, this is dependent on the type of wood being used.

Tailored for use with popular wood thicknesses, the large washer head and a partial thread means smaller screws can be used (5MM instead of 6MM).

The SPAX 5.0MM washer head screw with T-STAR plus bit recess offers a positive & secure fit of the bit with better driving in even when working overhead.

The SPAX 5.0MM washer head screw is coated in WIROX. A surface with an increased thickness that achieves greater corrosion protection compared to conventional blank zinc-plated screws. WIROX is free of chrome (VI) making it more environmentally friendly than conventional surfaces both in production and in use.
