A combination of wood fibre, polyurethane resin, and paraffin wax, Steico Special Dry is an adaptable, eco-friendly and exceptionally effective external sarking/sheathing board that is ideal for breathable new builds, renovations, and conversions. It offers wind tightness, water resistance, and heat insulation in one layer.
With a strikingly low thermal conductivity rating of 0.041W/mK, this board provides efficient thermal insulation. Due to its durable tongue and groove profile, it is especially appropriate for walls and roofs. It also provides excellent heat protection in summer months, as well as shielding against wind, dust, moisture, and sound. The board prevents thermal bridging and is FSC chain of custody certified, being that it is sourced from sustainable forests and is recyclable.
For renovations of exterior roofs, it is critical to protect the interior from weathering right from the start. With simple installation and economical construction, Steico Special Dry is suitable for direct attachment to the rafters without additional support and in a single layer.
