Made with modified polyethin compound with an aluminium mesh re-inforcement. Ubiflex is a non-lead flashing material which can be used in all applications where lead is traditionally installed. Ubiflex is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and recyclable. Ubiflex is only of value to the installer as it has no re-sale value as scrap.
Ubiflex is 80% lighter than lead giving handling, structural, health and safety advantages. It is also 50% quicker to install than lead, is fully malleable, can be worked in both directions and is self-sealing if punctured. Ubiflex is not susceptible to thermal movement, this allows aprons up to 12m long to be formed without seams or expansion joints which means there is less wastage than with traditional materials.
Ubiflex B3 is also BBA Certified and is also approved by the NHBC (National House Building Council) and Zurich insurance.
