Bring dependable warmth and protection to full-fill masonry cavity walls with Knauf DriTherm 37 Insulation Slabs. Made from water-repellent glass mineral wool, they combine a thermal conductivity of 0.037W/mK with plant-based ECOSE Technology for lasting insulation performance. The material is also completely non-combustible, earning the highest Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification.
Installation is made easier by the slab's flexible, lightweight construction. Each piece adjusts to slight irregularities in the wall surface and meets neighbouring slabs closely, reducing gaps that could allow heat to escape. A secure friction fit between wall ties means neither retaining discs or jointing tape is required.
Sized to fit snugly between wall ties, negating the need for retaining discs, DriTherm Cavity Slabs possess several other desirable properties, such as being odourless, rot-proof, and non-hygroscopic. They do not sustain vermin and do not provide a breeding ground for fungi, mould or bacteria. BBA tests indicate that no transmission of moisture from below the damp proof course level or by capillary action across the cavity will occur, and they will not transmit water to the inner leaf. Recyclable polythene packs (4-LDPE) allow for short-term protection.
