Ideal for both low and high-level roof ventilation requirements, this Manthorpe Alpha Vent for Slates can additionally be used as an outlet terminal for soil pipe ventilation and extraction fans when used in conjunction with a Manthorpe GRPA Flexible Pipe.
Manufactured as standard for 600mm x 300mm slates, this Alpha Vent can also be easily trimmed to fit 500mm x 250mm slates using the pre-marked cut lines. Fabricated from UV-stabilised polypropylene, it allows 10,000mm² of airflow per vent. Its hood features a 4mm fly screen to stop large insects from entering the roof space and blockage from falling debris.
This Alpha Vent has been independently and extensively wind-tunnel tested to a range of standards, including a rainfall rate of 200mm/hour to generate a fine penetrative spray, driving rain test to a roof pitch of 15° with an up roof wind speed of 13m/s and BS 6367 Deluge test 225mm/hour rainfall.
