Febspeed is a liquid admixture formulated to accelerate the setting time of cement based mortar, non-reinforced concrete, renders and screeds. Also provides forst protection in the wet mortar during the setting period, even in sub-zero temperatures and can also be used neat with cement as a plugging aid. Tested to the requirements of EN 934-3 : 2009.
Application
As an accelerator: Pre-mix febspeed with guaging water, check amount of water to be used in the mix, sabd grading and condition.
As a floor hardener: Incorporate febspeed with guaging water at a rate equivalent to 2.5 to 5 litres of febspeed per 50kgs of cement used. The concrete should not be guaged weaker than 1:2:4. If granolithic topping should be appropriate then a specification of 2 parts 3 to 6mm clean grano, no dust to 1/2 part concreting sand to 1 part cement. Please note, many of the benefits to be gained from the use of febspeed as a hardener can be negated by bad practice and placement techniques.
As a super rapid hardener: Febspeed may be mixed neat with fresh ordinary portland cement in small quantities for use immediately as a plugging compound.
Storage
Protect from temperature extremes. Will freeze but can be reconstituted by stirring after thawing.
Shelf life
Minimum of 2 years when stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
