This Brazilian natural slate is selected from and produced at high quality deposits in Papagaois, Brazil. The first quality high-grade natural slate is a tough and durable natural material that contains almost no unstable minerals. Graphite, carbon and other unstable minerals can weaken the structure of the slate and shorten its life span - this Brazilian natural slate will out last the life of the building it’s installed on when laid correctly.
Brazilian natural slate is available in grey/green and graphite with the slight variations of shade giving an attractive, traditional overall finish. Created from natural sedimentary stone with fantastic consistency, Brazilian natural slate is still continuously tested to ensure that it meets BS EN 12326-1 for roofing slate. Unaffected by sunlight, UV light, and resistant to acid rain, Brazilian natural slate is a first-choice slate for a high-grade, aesthetically pleasing, and traditional roof.
Slate Size: 400mm x 300mm
Slates per m2: approximately 34x
Roof Pitch: 30° - 90°
It’s strongly recommended that an extra 5% of quantity needed is ordered to offset any breakage in transport or installation.
Brazilian natural slate is delivered on a six-wheel tail-lift lorry that’s 11m x 2.4m so there are delivery restrictions in place. If the lorry is unable to access your site and off-load safely then an additional delivery charge will need to be made. Should you require a crane off-load or a smaller vehicle please notify us at the time of ordering as an additional delivery charge may be required.
