This roof flashing is manufactured from Code 3 lead which is durable yet malleable and typically lasts over one hundred years. It is environmentally friendly and sustainable due to being 100% recyclable. Additionally, it is elegant, practical and cost-effective as well as easy to use with a range of lengths and widths available to fit your project requirements.
This high-quality lead sheet has been machine cast by Midland Lead from 100% recycled raw materials and certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA). Produced by dipping a rotating water-cooled drum into a bath of molten lead, it is formed on the immersed part of the drum and peeled off at the top. It is then wound onto spools prior to being cut into lead sheet rolls.
Both cast and milled lead are fabricated according to the same tolerances, codes, analysis and permitted sizes, however, cast lead outperforms milled lead when comparing the strength and creep resistance.
