This E280 GRP Expansion Trim is a versatile solution designed for impact resistance and fire retardancy, which offers dual functionality as a decorative finish mimicking a lead mop roll or as an overlay for expansion gaps in structural roof decks. Engineered to meet the demands of flat roof applications requiring impeccable all-weather protection, the expansion trim stands out as a reliable choice for both domestic and commercial use.
For larger GRP roofs exceeding 50m². you should incorporate 25mm expansion gaps in the roof deck boards. The E280 trim seamlessly fits over these gaps, secured in place using PU trim adhesive and pins before the installation of GRP matting and resin, ensuring a robust and weather-resistant roofing solution. When installing the E280 GRP Expansion Trim, a single batten should be affixed to the outer fascia board, aligning with the top edge of the deck. Then, apply Cromar PU adhesive to the battens in 30mm beads to secure the trim effectively.
