Description

This FAKRO double glazed window is electrically operated, using a wireless Z-wave system. The Z-wave system is FAKRO's wireless control system that allows the control of any electrical devices that are manufactured by FAKRO. This means that the flat roof window can be controlled using the same control panel or remote control as the window blind, or other FAKRO roof windows. This FAKRO double glazed flat roof window can be installed on flat roofs that have a roof pitch of between 2 and 15 degrees. It is important to ensure the roof pitch is a minimum of 2 degrees to ensure rainwater runs off the surface of the roof window efficiently.

Maximise daylight:

The double glazed flat roof window from FAKRO has been carefully designed to maximise the amount of sunlight that enters the room. The specially designed shapes of the sash and frame on the electric modular roof window ensure that the flat roof windows feature up to 16% greater glazing area compared with other manufacturer's windows of the same size.

Ventilation:

  • Due to the electric operation of the flat roof window, the FAKRO modular flat roof window is a source of natural ventilation as well as natural daylight. By opening the FAKRO modular double glazed window, you create a flow of fresh air which improves the internal comfort of the environment.

Minimise heat loss:

  • Another key feature of the FAKRO electric modular flat roof window is the glazing. The flat roof window offers P2 laminated double glazing, which includes a layer of glass on the outside, with an argon gas cavity, as well as a 6.2mm internal glass pane with a low emission coating. The glazing is combined with a uPVC upstand, which has a multi-chamber design. This combined with the double glazing creates an incredibly thermally efficient flat roof window.

Ease of installation:

  • This modular double glazed flat window is supplied with a kerb for installation. The window is also supplied with a specially profiled covering material, which sits beneath the drip cap of the frame. This helps to create a tight connection between the roof window and the roofing material. If required, the fixed modular flat roof window can be installed on an additional XRD base. This allows the flat roof window to be installed on green roofs and in other situations where the window needs to be lifted slightly above the surface of the roof.
