This FAKRO flat roof window has been designed as a source of natural daylight to brighten up rooms and areas within a building. Used in homes, offices, waiting rooms, hospitals and more, the FAKRO manually operated quad glazed roof window is a great way to brighten up a room.
Available 600 x 900mm, this FAKRO roof window is manually operated, meaning it can be opened using a 2.2m control rod, to provide a source of natural ventilation.
This FAKRO quad glazed roof window can be installed on flat roofs with a pitch between 2 and 15 degrees. It is important to ensure the roof pitch is a minimum of 2 degrees to ensure rainwater runs off the surface of the roof window efficiently.
The quad glazed flat roof window from FAKRO has been carefully designed to maximise the amount of sunlight that enters the room. The specially designed shapes of the sash and frame on the manual modular roof window ensure that the flat roof windows feature up to 16% greater glazing area compared with other manufacturer’s windows of the same size.
Due to the manual operation, the FAKRO modular flat roof window is a source of natural ventilation as well as natural daylight. By opening the FAKRO modular quad glazed window, you create a flow of fresh air which improves the internal comfort of the environment.
Another key feature of the FAKRO manual modular flat roof window is the glazing. The flat roof window offers P2 laminated quad glazing, which includes a layer of glass on the outside, with an argon gas cavity, as well as a 6.2mm internal glass pane with a low emission coating.
The glazing is combined with a uPVC upstand, which has a multi-chamber design. This combined with the quad glazing creates an incredibly thermally efficient flat roof window.
This modular quad glazed flat window is supplied with a kerb for installation. The window is also supplied with a specially profiled covering material, which sits beneath the drip cap of the frame. This helps to create a tight connection between the roof window and the roofing material.
If required, the fixed modular flat roof window can be installed on an additional XRD base. This allows the flat roof window to be installed on green roofs and in other situations where the window needs to be lifted slightly above the surface of the roof.
