According to data released by the Health and Safety Executive, falls resulting from fragile roof materials account for nearly 25% of fatal accidents within the construction industry. To tackle this issue and help minimise this percentage, the Filon Fixsafe system has been developed.
This system eliminates the hazards associated with accessing fragile roofs, ensuring compliance with regulation 9 of the Work at Height regulations (2005). Moreover, it enables the replacement of fragile roofs and roof lights from underneath, further increasing safety while also resulting in time and cost savings related to installation and access equipment. Additionally, it causes minimal disruption to internal processes.
The Fixsafe system is compatible with various roof profiled sheets and configurations and is widely utilised across the UK. These roofing sheets have a Cape Fort profile and can be used alongside patented Fixsafe fixings for a complete installation.
