This 900mm x 900mm square Em-Dome rooflight features a triple-glazed dome, manufactured from thermoformed polycarbonate sheet with a clear finish and a minimum of 3mm thick glazing. It also comes with a white curb made from uPVC.
The clear surface has been created to make optimum use of natural sunlight. The hard-wearing polycarbonate material is essentially unbreakable in comparison to glass as it has up to 250 times greater impact strength.
Once fitted, this rooflight cannot be uninstalled using common tools due to the high-security screwbolts that are patented and unique to Em-Dome and supplied factory-fitted as standard. They provide outstanding resistance to forced entry or tampering. Within the body of the screwbolt, the sleeved fixing helps to prevent pressure from exerting onto the rooflight glazing as it is secured. This ensures that the potential for over-tightening, which causes stress fractures, is practically eradicated.
