Well-suited for installation on roofs with pitches ranging from 17.5° to 55°, the Harcon Corodrain HD30 Standard D-Type Universal Valley Trough is a narrow valley trough intended for specific use with single lap tiles in limited scenarios. It has been crafted for compatibility with interlocking tiles as well as both natural and made-made slates. Manufactured from GRP, a top-quality unfilled polyester resin with glass fibre reinforcement, it comes in a grey/blue colour.
This standard HD-type valley includes a 35mm sanded strip designed to enhance mortar adhesion and can account for a maximum 15° variation between two rafter pitches. With durability akin to lead and a minimum lifespan of 30 years, its enhanced resistance to unintended harm makes it a reliable choice. It also exhibits reduced vulnerability to theft and higher cost-savings compared to lead. The installation process is quick and seamless, and it boasts resistance against UV light and acid rain with a smooth surface that deters the growth of moss, lichen, and debris accumulation.
Corodrain valley troughs and gutters are compatible with a selection of slate, clay, or concrete tiles, offering a cost-effective and long-lasting substitute for lead while offering a similar appearance. They fulfil all specifications outlined for 'standard' double lap valley troughs in NFRC Technical Bulletin 28.
