This cast-iron rectangular eared downpipe socket from Hargreaves Foundry is part of their extremely durable Premier range of cast-iron guttering products. Designed to fit 100mm x 75mm square downpipes, these sockets come primed for painting or coating in classic black or any other colour to suit and have a straightforward design for easy and seamless integration with other cast-iron products.
Cast iron has natural durability and strength that is still hard to beat, even after roughly 200 years of building and material design. Correctly installed, these products will last up to 100 years with very little active maintenance, requiring repainting every ten. In addition, cast iron gutters and pipes have naturally low vibration whilst water flows through and won't rattle or shake in high wind.
