Perfect for use with bituminous-based partially bonded torch-applied roofing installations including Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproofing applications, these Thermazone Torch-On boards incorporate a polypropylene fleece with a bitumen/glass fibre working finish and a mineral glass facing on the lower side.
These Thermazone insulation boards must always be located over a vapour control layer and are ideal for use over all kinds of structural decks. They are impervious to microbial and mould growth as well as resistant to most oils, greases and adhesives except those containing ketones and esters.
When applying these boards with the Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproofing systems, they are bonded by torch application which includes heating of the stripes on the vapour control layer's top surface to diffuse the thermofusible film and activate the bitumen stripes. These boards deliver a consistent, sturdy bond when placed onto the vapour control layer and pressed into the surface. They must be positioned staggered (broken joints) and close-butted.
