Made with polypropylene fleece and finished with a glass fibre/bitumen working surface and a mineral glass facing to the underside, these Thermazone Torch-On boards are suitable for use with torch-applied partially bonded bituminous-based roofing applications including Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproof systems.
Ideal for use over all types of structural decks, these Thermazone insulation torch-on boards must always be placed over a vapour control layer. They are resistant to microbial and mould growth as well as most adhesives, greases and oils excluding those containing esters and ketones.
When used with the Icopal Profiles and Total Torch waterproofing systems, these insulations boards are fixed by torch application which entails heating the stripes on the top surface of the vapour control layer to melt away the thermofusible film and activate the bitumen stripes. Situated onto the vapour control layer and pressed into the surface, these boards ensure a secure and uniform bond. They must be close-butted and laid staggered (broken joints).
