Available in a pack of three, these Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 boards are 130mm thick. They are specifically engineered for insulating flat roofs that are waterproofed using cold liquid applied waterproofing, partially bonded built-up felt, mastic asphalt, and completely adhered single ply.

Perfect for new build and refurbishment projects, the rigid thermoset insulation core offers high performance with a fibre-free core, and it is also faced on both sides with glass tissue.

  • For use with single-ply non-bituminous membranes that are fully bonded with solvent-based adhesive systems
  • Suitable for most mastic asphalt and bitumen-based waterproofing systems and most green roof systems
  • Resists the passage of water vapour
  • Installation and handling are easy compared to some other commonly used insulants
  • Compatible with both refurbishment and new build projects

These insulation boards can be handled and installed easily compared to some other commonly used insulants. They are for use with a range of roofing systems. These include single-ply non-bituminous membranes that are fully bonded with solvent-based adhesive systems, most green roof systems, and mastic asphalt and bitumen-based waterproofing systems.

Questions & Answers

Question:

Will our window cleaner damage/compress these boards when walking over the finished job, and is his ladder likely to pierce the covering caps sheet ( Soprema SL500) if used over the TR27. Thankyou.

Answer:

Walking: Generally safe if over a correctly installed Soprema SL500 on TR27.

Ladder: Not safe without protection — the SL500 has no declared puncture resistance, so use boards/pads to spread the load.
